PURPOSE DRIVEN PRODUCTS

At Jill + June we like to say we sell pretty things that have a PURPOSE. When the pandemic hit our country in March of 2020 it just didn't feel right to continue to try to run my shop without doing something to help our community. So from March - June 2020 we donated 100% of our profits to 3 different needs-based organizations that supported our communities during a very difficult time. It just felt like the right thing to do.

The response to our decision to give back was so well loved that I decided to make that a mission of our shop going forward. While we don't always donate 100% of our profits (because we have to keep this business running!) we do give back every month.

There are 2 special causes that are near and dear to me and I love that I get to use this shop to spread some joy. We donate our profits right now to community-based programs that help children in foster care as well as families with children staying in the hospital (read more about the Heartfelt House below). For about 5 years we were a foster family and we adopted our youngest daughter Naomi out of foster care. Being a foster parent changed my life forever. While we aren't currently serving as foster parents, I know the needs to serve this community are vast and I love using my shop to spread awareness and support organizations that provide resources for families in foster care.

HEARTFELT HOUSE

We also run fundraisers and donate our profits to the Heartfelt House (a program of the Ronald McDonald House Charities). This cause is very special to me because my husband Dan works in the NICU at Sacred Heart Riverbend. Families with babies in the NICU experience extreme trauma and stress so we feel drawn to help those families so they have a comfortable place to rest and a warm meal to nourish their tired bodies. We love cooking meals at the Heartfelt House every month!

Support of this program ensures that families who are traveling to receive life-saving medical care for their child can receive the compassionate hospitality and home away from home that they need.
